Dr. Pike's interest in veterinary medicine started at an early age on her grandfather’s farm in upstate New York. She fell in love with his cows, and getting to name her own calf helped cement her dream of becoming a veterinarian.

Dr. Pike and her wife share their home with two dogs: Loki and Akela, and two cats: Bane and Neo.
